Restaurants

There are many restaurants in Son Bou and the surrounding area, during the day Club San Jaime have some very tasty lunchtime dishes and a favourite of our family is the mixed fishes and the Menorquin salad. Also the Gondaliere restaurant next to the reception at by what we call the mushroom pool (turn right outside the apartment not left) is a nice place to eat and we recommend the Pizza’s.

Casa Andreas

This is our favourite restuarant, which we think is possibly the best in Son Bou if not Menorca, we recommend the chateaubriand, Paella or any fish dish. Anything from the set menu of the day is also great value and very tasty.

Alesandro’s

This restuarant is a must if you are a pizza or pasta fan, this is what they do best and sure to try their Ceasers salad or Menorquin salad.

Boni’s Indian restuarant

For those of you who are having withdrawal symptoms for a curry, we found this restuarant slightly different from your traditional British Curry but thought it was very good.

Las Dunas

Also does fabulous food and we recommend the sea bass which they baked in sea salt. We would also recommend their speciality kebabs which are served on a hook. Just ask for Miguel.

For the walkers amongst you there are some great walking  treks you can take in Menorca. We always enjoy the walk from Son Bou to Santo Tomas, on your way there you can walk through lovely countryside ( May to July is best as all the fields are full of poppies and Lilac in full bloom) and then through woods to Santo Tomas where you can relax on the beach or have meal and drink in seafront restaurants. On the way back you can walk the beach route back to Son Bou ( beware of the nudist section) in about 1hour and 45minutes. There are sign posts all along the route for (Cami De Cavalls).
